By accessing or using PeterParser ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

PeterParser provides a document parsing API that extracts structured data from files. The Service includes REST APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and a web dashboard.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PETERPARSER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PeterParser from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Data Processing

Documents are processed transiently and not retained beyond the configured cache TTL. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your documents and extracted data. We retain all rights to the Service, APIs, documentation, and underlying technology.

11. Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard Settings tab. Account deletion requires typing "confirm" and is immediate and irreversible. Upon deletion:

Data erasure is performed in compliance with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and BDSG §35.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. For EU users, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply, including but not limited to the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the German BDSG, and the German Telemediengesetz (TMG). In the event of conflict, the most protective regulation prevails.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days notice via email or dashboard notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
